Happy Fall, Ya'll!

Image
One of my favorite things is waking up to Ethan squirming around first thing in the morning! When I see his little arms and legs moving around it's smiley time! He is such a happy and content baby, and seeing him express that makes me all "warm and fuzzy" inside!! Now I think I understand why there are so many songs and poems about a mother's love.

Yesterday we had Ethan's infant portraits taken at Sears. He did such a great job and we got some great poses!!! Being the proud mommy that I am, I just had to share a couple proofs with you!

Wow, where has this month gone? Ethan is officially six weeks old and seems to be growing quicker each day. *Sniff, sniff* He took his first visits to the Nascar Speedpark in Myrtle Beach with our teens, the Santee river with our senior saints, and the skating rink with our juniors this month. He also began smiling and laughing (or at least we think he is) which is just the cutest thing in the world. I love it when he just wakes up in the morning, his smiling eyes (and now mouth) just melt my heart! He had two doctors appointment this month the first was to find out what to do about constipation he had been having for a few days. The doctor was not even phased by the constipation, but rather the fact that he had stayed at 6 pounds and 8 ounces for two weeks. So he prescribed that we supplement with formula and give Ethan a suppository. That night we saw the results of the suppository, I have never been so excited to change a stinky diaper. T…

Happy Grandparents Day!

Grandparents
Grandparents are special people with wisdom and pride.
They are always offering love and kindness and are always there to guide.
They often make you feel so confident and strong.
Their arms are always open no matter what you did wrong.
They try to help out in every way they can.
They love their grandchildren the same whether you're a child, a woman, or man.
They are always there to listen and lend a helping hand.
They show you respect and they try to understand.
They give their love, devotion, and so much more. That's easy to see!
Grandparents, what an example, of the kind of person we should be.

Labor Day Weekend

Dressed and ready for second Sunday at church! He was such a good boy in church today. Not that we are trying to teach him to sleep in church, but at this stage it's a good thing.
Ethan seems to be more bright eyed and alert every day.
Cute little tongue sticking out
Mimmi & Pops came to visit this weekend! (Mimmi was the photographer)

Sweet Moments

This week we enjoyed a visit with Maye, Auntie Mary, and Russell (Josh's family). While they were here, Maye got plenty of good pictures of Ethan. He is such a happy baby boy, and I think he may be starting to enjoy a camera...
On Tuesday, we went to the SC FWB Bookstore to pick up church supplies, and Ethan got to meet Mr. Todd Smith, the state Promotional director.
Ethan is in the midst of a growth spurt, and is eating all the time (or so it seems). Here is a picture of what he does when he is not eating...
Maye: The Photographer Thank you for the great photos of Ethan.
