Vacation Bible School 2010

Slideshow design personalized with Smilebox

We had a great time at VBS this year! Here are a few pictures that I wanted to share from this week.

My Daddy, a Hero

Spiderman, Batman, the Hulk, and Ironman don't even come close to my Superhero- my Daddy! Daddy, growing up I never feared when you were around; because, I knew that you would keep me safe. You have taught me many lessons that I am very appreciative. I still recall your fun stories that you would tell us on our way to Alabama about growing up. I'll never forget the Eddie Dean story. Thank you for your love and the many fun memories we've made. I hope that Joshua and our son will have as good of a relationship as we have. I hope that they will get to spend the quality time together we did on family vacations, playing games, and learning. I love you, Daddy. Happy Father's Day!

Happy Birthday, Momma!

My Beautiful Momma & Me (& Ethan)

Because it's rude to tell a lady's age, I won't. A simple "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMA!!!" will suffice. I hope you have a truly wonderful day full of fun and joy. Next year, Ethan will be able to celebrate with us as well!If asked to describe Momma, (1) I would have to say that she loves her Lord and her family; (2) is a dedicated, hard worker who doesn't give up. Even when the going gets tough and storms come in life, she keeps her head up and keeps on going. (3) Loves knowing what is going on with her family and savoring each memory through the eye of her camera. Thank you for keeping the memories alive via photo and smilebox.Momma, thank you for the many fun memories we've shared in the past; I'm looking forward to the ones we'll make in the future! We love you, Momma (Mamaw) and wish you a very happy ? th birthday.

9 Weeks to Go!

My wonderful husband putting the swing together!

Thirty-one weeks down and only nine to go! We had another appointment this week, and Dr. Phillips says that Ethan is growing on schedule and is very healthy. We were tested for gestational diabetes again, and thankfully we do not have it.Ethan is approximately 3.3 pounds and 16 inches long. He can move his head from side to side, blink his eyes, swallow, and many other things at this point. I am amazed at how God is forming our child. We praise the Lord for a healthy baby and pregnancy so far, and are excited about meeting him in just a few short weeks!

The ladies of Bethany hosted a baby shower for Ethan and I this Saturday (Maye continued the shower on Monday)! Thank you for the delicious food, fun, and thoughtful gifts! We were so glad to see each of you there and to have my parents drive down from North Carolina. Ethan will be set with the gifts you have blessed us with. Thank you for your love and support as we prepare to become new parents. We appreciate all of the encouraging words and prayers on our behalf; and we pray that God will be glorified through the lives of our family members.
Psalm 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

Our First Wedding Anniversary!

It's here! It's here! No, not the baby, but our one year wedding anniversary!

Wow...a year has flown by! It is so hard to believe that just a year ago Joshua and I committed to respect, honor, and serve one another till death do us part. So much has happened in that year! The expression that time flies when you're having fun is so true! Being married to my best friend is the greatest adventure of all. He is so caring, kind, compassionate, and romantic as well as sensible, a provider, protector, and great with children (which is a good thing!).

We took our anniversary trip to Beaufort, SC about a month early because of how June looked so busy on the calendar! What a great time we had exploring that delightful town! We enjoyed strolls on the pier and swinging on the boardwalk, museums, shopping, etc.

Praise the Lord for His blessings and bringing the most wonderful man in the world into my life! I am so excited about growing old with him and all of the adventures to co…
